Smith, David Martin CTO, Privacy Foundation, and Research Assistant Professor rms@privacyfoundation.org and Boston University dm@cs.bu.edu The speakers joined the Boston University Computer Science Department in Fall 2001 as visiting researchers. During the past year, the Privacy Foundation sponsored their research in the area of commercial surveillance. In this talk the speakers will discuss how commercial surveillance can be used in the effort to identify the terrorist attackers. They will also describe their organization and some of their recent computer privacy research in order to stimulate discussions about possible projects and collaboration with students and faculty.
